Miller Plasma Cutting

 

Miller plasma cutting or any other plasma cutting for that matter is ideal for cutting steel and non-ferrous material that is less than one inch in thickness.  Miller plasma cutting can be achieved on any kind of conductive metal.  Stainless, aluminum, and mild steel would be included in these metals.  The operator will experience faster and thicker cuts with mild steel as opposed to using alloys.  The reason plasma cutting is able to cut aluminum, stainless, and any other conductive material is due to the fact that it does not rely on oxidation to work.

 

Most folks today are using compressed air for the plasma gas although different gases can be used.  The compressed air is normally available in most establishments today so plasma does not require fuel gas and compressed oxygen for operation.  Miller plasma cutting is normally easier for the beginner to master and one of the real benefits of plasma cutting includes the ease of use.
